To those in the NYC area this weekend and requiring instruction, our partner organisation for the ImageObject exhibit, the Center for Alternative Photography, is having a becquerel workshop by Jason Greenberg Motamedi

Details of how to submit your daguerreotypes to the international juried exhibit in NYC next year are on the exhibitions new info website – www.ImageObject.com – in the submissions section.
Daguerreotypists should note the opportunity of the exhibited plates being available for sale (should they so desire) through the exhibit, which is on at the time of the AIPAD show in NYC. Submitters now have 5 months to submit their artworks for selection. First prize in the inaugural is worth $600 with $250 for second place and $150 for third. The exhibition will run from March 28-April 7th, 2013, for 11 days – the gallery space will be open 3 – 7 pm daily.

Updates on submissions and the exhibit will be blogged here on cdags.org. We are also planning a symposium for the event for practitioners, collectors and the general public at the Center for Alternative Photography at the time of the exhibit.

Two new plates, “Making Headlines” and “On the Serengeti” depicting Casey’s foray into allegorical imagery, have been added to his gallery

Daniel Carrillo has some new images that have been added to his gallery.

Marinus has two new images that were created last May in Paris. Each are 13 cm x 18 cm and were developed in mercury.

Beniamino has three new additions to his gallery. There are also pictures of his fuming boxes, which are viewable here. They are handmade using wood with a shellac finish.
