I am starting a new thread on polishing silver. I realize there is overlap with the Prepping Copper thread, but I hope there are enough differences. My question has to do with the final polish of the silver. I have seen numerous references to cotton velvet. I haven’t located any yet, but was also wondering if anyone is using any of the various modern non-woven lint free cloths as part of their polishing? (PEC-PAD is one) It seems like cleanliness is so important that using something that is a bit more disposable would be helpful. Or do you just go through lots of cotton velvet? Is it washable? Will my wife allow it in the washing machine? <img decoding=” title=”Smile” />

Any comments on your final polish methods?
