Just recently my developed becquerel dags have taken on a pink haze after fixing. I had the issue ages ago, it went away and has now come back. I cannot remember how I resolved it. Any ideas ?
leftover rouge? Wipe plates with cotton + alcohol well after polishing.
I dunno, I cant see any rouge on the plate after my final polish on clean velvet, but I will give it a go, thanks
Good idea Gregory.
Use a very light touch, or this will leave scratches and an alcohol haze on the plate.
A dry method is to follow the rouge buff with a longer lampblack buff before your clean buff.
Also it’s a good idea to keep notes of buffing conditions so that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
You never know when sniffing too much iodine will wipe out your memory.
Cures Goiter though.
