Hello all I though I would share some work I did this past weekend these are two Becquerel test plates. Both plates are 1/4 and were fairly equally prepared. I didn’t do a perfect polish as I knew they were tests. The portrait was over iodine till just past magenta and the house was slightly longer. Neither was gilt and thus have some water spots ect. Both were taken with my new Dalmeyer 8″ f/2.9 at wide open in full sun at EV 14.6. The portrait was a 1 min exposure with a 60 second Kodak print projection scale placed in contact with the plate before exposure. The house shot was done for five min with the same scale so multiply the result numbers by 5. The scale reads in 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 48 second intervals with the perimeter at a full 60 seconds. I am not sure of the bellows factor on each shot but I believe the house would be none and the portrait 1/2 stop, but these are included in the exposure on plate. On the house the 10 second area is the only one that is not fully solarized. At the bottom of the house plate is shadow caused by an awning that read EV 11.3, this area shows best detail at 30 seconds. The portrait is the one I am really pleased with the results. Good detail of the shirt starting at only 6-8 sec with it solarized at 48 sec. The test triangle through the majority of the face is 24 sec, but the best is the sliver next to it at 32 sec that also shows some detail in the dark hair.
