Looking for velvet

I am looking for a online (or telephone) source for high quality silk or cotton velvet suitable for buffing. I can only find synthetic or rather rough blends locally. Suggestions are much appreciated.

I recommend 100% cotton velvet.  Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=cotton+velvet+fabric&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a     I believe I purchased white cotton velvet from DenverFabrics.

I have been purchasing German Cotton Velvet from a religious vestment company: http://www.istok.net/vestment-fabrics-german-velvet.html

Mike Robinson turned me on to using this stuff vs the common cotton velvet.

The best velvet I have found for buffing and also for the velvet pinch pad retainers in my daguerreotype cases is a short nap 100% cotton velvet made in India. Its relatively cheap and I bought a whole bolt of it in a fabric store. I don’t think its necessary to spend a lot on german silk velvets.
