    What fixer do you use?

    1. For B-dags

    2. For regular daguerreotypes

    What is the purpose of using Sodium Sulfite? and if I use stronger hypo is it bad?

    I use much stronger fixer, 50mg sodium thiosulfate + 15g sodium sulfite to 500ml distilled water.

    The sodium sulfite pulls out oxygen, which preserves the sodium thiosulfate and apparently has a positive effect on the strength of the image.
