Hi there, I’ve watched several videos on how daguerrotypes are made but what I’ve seen is the whole process in one go. Is it possible to get as far as taking the picture & securing the latent print in the holder at one time, and then developing it days or even weeks later? Thanks!

Easy answer is no, the latent image fades quickly. See tests done by John Hurlock.
