Chlorine instead of Bromine?

    Hi guys,

    I came across this thread on flickr and must say it’s the first time I’ve read something like this.. Is it true that Chlorine can be used in place of Bromine?

    It sounds like he uses the chlorine after the iodine and bromine to give the image a sepia look. Very nice, but it’s just one more step in an already difficult process making it even harder… Kudos to him for getting great results and sharing information. The images look sweet!!!

    Hi,

    I made this Daguerréotype years ago. I don’t replace the bromine with chlorine but use it as a third halogen. Greetings Marinus
