So who uses Bromine, and in what form? I have been usung Bromine water, I have only made 2 pictures but success with both. I used 10 and 20 second exposures at f/5.6 on a sunny day.The 20 was overexposed!

I’m using bromine. I got about 50ml of liquid bromine, works great. Seems like the bromine water should work just as good, its listed in the old manuals. I’m getting about 2 sec exposures outside with F4.5 – sunny.

I take a little, maybe 10-15 eye drops and mix it with some calcium hydroxide. Enough to cover the bottom of the box.

    How long does that last?
I use the bromine water (I have a litre) and it is around 2% I top it up with a few ccs of pure bromine when I feel necessary.
When I have done my plates the bromine water goes back in to the bottle.

I keep it in the box always. Lasts for a month or so depending on how many plates I run through. Maybe touch it up every couple weeks. The exposure over the bromine continually rises, adding a second maybe everyday compensating for the loss of bromine when the box is in use.
