I bought this lens surplus as a Bausch and Lomb “test” lens and have never seen another like it. The lens is very similar to a Dallmeyer Pentac; it is very fast, but not terribly sharp. It is a triplet design, like a Pentac, but a tad faster and coated. It just covers 5×7, but the corners are pretty blurry. It would be best on quarter-plate but would do ok on 4×5 or half-plate. I have had it for a few years but never used it. It is really an in-between size for me. The glass is coated with some light marks and dust. The barrel shows wear with some tape on the rear, and the iris is stiff, probably from lack of use. No caps or flange. The front lens group doesn’t seem to be screwed in all the way, but I can’t get it to budge in either direction. Maybe a bit of heat?
Anyhow, $120 shipped in the US, $130 elsewhere.
