    Hi everyone,

    Anyone know where I can get 8×10 plates?

    In the absence of finding silver plated plates, I’ve spoken w a few friends but no one seems to know where we can get polished copper plates for silver plating?

    No luck in Daniel smith, rio grande and dick blick..

    I haven’t bought plates in a few years. I’ve been helping Bing shophere in the U.S. Daniel Smith has phased out their printmaking supplies. I went to Blick in Chicago today and the plates (supplied by K&S in Chicago) do not have a mirror finish (and they seem to be overpriced.) Does anyone else have a source for copper?

    Renaissance Graphic Art Supply carries them in 2 styles: economy and polished.

    I have shifted over to brass, and get them here:

    All metal from this site that has PVC on one side is mirror finish. They also have copper with PVC on one side, but I have no experience with it.

    I have had bad luck plating onto brass, I get a yellow scum on it. I’m using a cyanide bath for it. Graphic has 8×10, unpolished.
