Two large format plates have been submitted to the exhibit by Simone Choulle of Spain

One week to go for submissions and some things we had thought were going to be issues, have turned out not to be so. Plate sizes over 11×14″ and multiple plate format artworks have not been requested and are not likely to pose problems with the gallery space. So we have decided to drop those restrictions, happy submitting to those I’ve been talking to, it looks a busy week ahead!

Three plates have been submitted to the ImageObject exhibit by Daniel Kuczynski of Vermont, USA.

One week to go and there are over still 20 daguerreotypists saying they will be submitting plates, let avoid a bottle neck of admin duties for me and submit now..

Three framed plates in passé partout have been submitted for the ImageObject exhibit by Marinus Ortelee and Charlotte Edam from the Netherlands.

Three plates from Máté Bakody in Hungary have been submitted to the ImageObject exhibit.

The much-needed (and difficult) forum upgrade has been completed. Thank you all for your patience with this long process, it has taken many person hours on the part of your volunteer editorial staff. Enjoy!

Brenton West has submitted a framed 4×5 inch daguerreotype for selection to the ImageObject exhibit.

You may have noticed the the dagforum is still being beset by spam comments. As a result the forum has been taken down while admins Andy and Jon work on upgrading it. Its complicated as the site is database driven with wordpress blogging software integrated with the bbpress forum software. Add to the wiki to that and you will see how we like to make life difficult for ourselves. Bear with us and the forum with all the threads should be back in place soon.
