Takashi Arai’s daguerreotypes are part of a multimedia exhibit in Tokyo with a guitar and violin experimental music program. It involves the daguerreotypes, lighting devices and a movie based on the reflecting images on the daguerreotypes.

Two plates have been submitted for selection to the ImageObject exhibit by Ake Hultman.

Three plates have been submitted for selection for ImageObject exhibit by Eric Mertens.

A gallery page has been added for the talented Lukas Fritz, a 19 year old student from Munich, Germany. He has been making daguerreotypes for just a year with most of that time spent building the equipment (fuming boxes, mercury pot). Lukas is no stranger to demanding technical projects, as one of his websites shows (check his cocktail making machine!).

Between now and the December 2012 closing date for submissions to next years exhibit, we will be adding entries to the exhibit’s submission page. First up is the whole plate entries of Binh Danh.

Two new plates have been added to Dominique’s gallery, one of his garden in Orsay, south of Paris and a portrait of his son, who has the name of distinction – Louis.
