Curved glass vase that prevents the face of the plate touching the glass, requiring less volume than a similarly sized round beaker. Dropping the plate into the tank means no stains, watermarks as can occur in flat dishes. Agitation allows the plate to rock back and forth (see photo’s with clad plate in situ)
